Academic Enrichment Programs & CTE

Temescal Canyon High School offers a specialized course of study through our Academic Enrichment Programs and our CTE pathways.
  
The links at the bottom will give you an idea of what courses students will be taking each year of high school for each of these programs.
 
Health and Medical Careers Academy
HMCA is for students interested in studying and pursuing a career in the medical field.  It is a college preparatory program and students are scheduled in a cohort with other academy students for 3 or 4 periods of the day.

International Baccalaureate
IB is an international curriculum with a global focus and requires students to critically think on an advanced level.  Freshman and Sophomore students will be taking Pre-IB courses to prepare them for the Junior and Senior year IB course of study.  Students who complete this course of study will earn an IB diploma.

Engineering
This is a CTE pathway for students interested in studying and pursuing a career in engineering.  The courses have a strong emphasis on computer designing and lab projects.  Students entering this pathway will be expected to have strong math skills.  Students completing Intro to Engineering will earn college credit at Norco Community College.

Welding
The Welding CTE pathway focuses on students attaining their welding certificate through learning a number of tools, programs, and concepts that guide them to proper welding techniques. Students may also complete this pathway and be A-G to enter a 4 year college.
