Kenneth Taber - Band Director
Kenneth Taber is an experienced music educator and performer with over 7 years of experience teaching and directing band programs. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from the University of Redlands as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the same institution, where he was the recipient of the School of Music scholarship. Taber also earned an Associate of Arts in Music from Riverside City College, graduating with Great Distinction. He has served as the Colton High School Band Director since 2021, directing the wind ensemble, beginning band, marching band, and jazz band. Prior to his current role, Taber gained experience as a temporary band director at Brea Olinda High School and through assisting the band, orchestra, jazz band, and percussion programs at Cope Middle School. He is an Eagle Scout and has been recognized by the Colton City Council for his contributions to music education in the community. His primary instrument is trumpet.
Jasmine Ramirez, Colorguard Director
Jasmine Ramirez has been involved in the winter guard sport since her eighth grade year of middle school. She started with the Warm Springs Middle School Colorguard and continued on to compete at the highest level with the Vista Murrieta High School Marching Band and their championship-winning Varsity Winterguard. After high school, Ramirez marched professionally with the Blue Knights Colorguard for their 2019 season. Since then, she has taught the Warm Springs Middle School Colorguard, helping them become undefeated Junior High Open Champions in her first year directing the resurrected program. Ramirez has also taught the Lisa J Mails Colorguard and worked with the Murrieta Valley High School Crimson Cadet Colorguard. Outside of winter guard, she choreographs dances professionally and has won awards for theater performance she has created. Ramirez believes teaching is her purpose, and hopes to continue spreading knowledge for years to come.
Liam Maxwell, Battery Instructor
Liam Maxwell is a percussion educator and composer currently residing in Southern California. Liam is proud to have performed with many ensembles including Heat Wave, The Blue Knights, Veritas, Carolina Crown, and Broken City Percussion. He has taught a variety of ensembles in the states of California, Texas, Florida, and Indiana. Currently, Liam is also on the educational staff at Carolina Crown and Vista Murrieta High School.
Tiwalade Ademorijimi, Front Ensemble Instructor
Tiwa is currently a Front Ensemble instructor at Temescal Canyon High School (TCHS) in Lake Elsinore and Arlington High School in Riverside. He is in his fourth and second year at these institutions, respectively. Primarily a mallet percussionist, Tiwa has music performance experience with the Sacramento Mandarins (2x), Vessel Indoor Percussion, the Boston Crusaders, and Broken City Percussion (2x). His arranging and original composing work began in 2023, with primary contributions towards TCHS and Arlington's field and indoor productions of the 2023-24 academic year. While working towards his Bachelor's in English at the University of California, Irvine, Tiwa continues to play an important role within Temescal Canyon's Percussion program.
