Course Description

This course is an introduction to the art of theatre.  Students will study the basic elements of the theatre: playwriting, acting, directing, stagecraft, costuming, voice, make-up, and theatre history. Students will learn skills in voice, movement, and character, read works, analyze plays, participate in theatre games, and produce student performances.

Note: This is a general overview of lessons covered throughout the year.  Other assignments, tests, performances, readings, and class work, not listed here, will be assigned and included in the final grade.
