Welding 2 Assignments

 

- Students will learn about many of the advanced fabrication skills in the industry including: cutting, grinding, shaping, and forming

- Students will continue the GMAW welding processes with the opportunity to complete a D1.3 (GS) Sheet Steel certification under AWS

- Students will continue the SMAW welding process with the opportunity to complete a D1.1 Structural Steel unlimited thickness certification under AWS

- Students will acquire a basic level of understanding and skill in GTAW

 

Students will complete various projects providing them with understanding and skill on a shear, pan break, plate roll, CNC plasma cutting machine, Iron-worker, tube bending system, bead roll, oxy-acetylene cutting machine, as well as many other fabrication machinery

 

The goal of the Manufacturing and Materials Joining Pathway is to teach a love for the field of manufacturing and fabrication, and to provide students with the skills necessary to find success in their careers
