I teach biology at the best high school, TCHS. I believe that students benefit from a variety of instruction and it reflects in my classroom as I range from lectures, projects, labs, and activities.
We will cover ecology, matter and energy interactions, human impact, cellular biology, genetics, and evolution.
Students are expected to come to class every day with cell phones put away, a notebook (composition or spiral-bound), and something to write with.
Grades are found on infinite campus and I do try to have them updated at least every 2 weeks.
My educational pathway starts with double majoring in psychology and anthropology, graduating with a BA from UCR. I then proceeded to gain my master's in education from University of Phoenix and following that, an additional master's in Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health from London Metropolitan University. I also completed a certificate in Crime Scene Investigation from UCR extension. I teach biology because it is the foundation for everything in life, from the ecological impact on societal development to kinship and the evolving Homo sapien.
