AP Physics (Period 5 & 6)

Course Description

 AP Physics is a one-year, systematic study of the major concepts in the physical universe. We will cover kinematics, dynamics, circular motion and gravitation, energy, momentum, simple harmonic motion, torque and rotational motion, electric charge and electric force, DC circuits, and mechanical waves and sound. These 10 content areas are the topics covered on the AP Physic 1 exam. This is an introductory college level class. My goal is to have everyone successfully pass this course and the AP exam, but you will be required to put in extra hours of studying and preparation.  
Students are expected to  
  • Read textbook prior to class 
  • Be on time with required materials  
  • Actively participate in class and work cooperatively with others  
  • Study the material regularly 
  • Ask questions
